Carbamide Peroxide Otic Solution (CARBAMIDE PEROXIDE - OTIC)

For ear wax removal.

Generic Name: Carbamide Peroxide

Instructions

To reduce risk of dizziness, warm the bottle in your hand for 1-2 minutes before using it.

After using the drops for 1 to 3 days, remove the earwax using an ear bulb to rinse the ear with warm water.

To avoid contaminating the medicine bottle, do not touch the tip of the dropper to the ear or any other surface.

Keep the medicine at room temperature. Avoid heat and direct light.

This medicine is for use in the ears only. Avoid getting the medicine into the eyes or mouth. Rinse the eyes with water if the medicine gets into the eyes.

Tell your doctor and pharmacist about all your medicines. Include prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal medicines.

You may stop using this medicine if you no longer have symptoms.

Do not share this medicine with anyone who has not been prescribed this medicine.

Cautions

Do not use the medicine in an ear that has a hole (perforation) in it, or if there are ear tubes placed in the eardrums, or if there is any drainage from the ear.

Side Effects

The following is a list of some common side effects from this medicine. Please speak with your doctor about what you should do if you experience these or other side effects.

  • burning or stinging
  • dizziness
  • temporary decrease in hearing

Call your doctor or get medical help right away if you notice any of these more serious side effects:

  • discomfort or pain in the ear

A few people may have an allergic reaction to this medicine. Symptoms can include difficulty breathing, skin rash, itching, swelling, or severe dizziness. If you notice any of these symptoms, seek medical help quickly.
