Mathew D. Smith, MD, FACOG

Dr. Smith graduated summa cum laude from Western Kentucky University where he majored in recombinant genetics. He then completed medical school and residency at the University of Tennessee and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. After two years in solo practice in Dickson, Tennessee he joined AOG in 2004. Areas of interest include daVinci robotic surgery, in-office procedures, pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, preventive care and amniocentesis for prenatal diagnosis. He lives in Dalton with his wife and three children. |
Christine M. Sager, MD, FACOG

Dr. Sager received her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Southern Adventist University where she majored in biology/ chemistry and honors studies. She received her medical degree from East Tennessee State University and completed her Ob/Gyn residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga where she was recognized for her surgical skills. She joined AOG in 2005, is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Areas of special interest include minimally invasive surgery, in-office procedures, pediatric gynecology, prenatal diagnosis including nuchal translucency, preventive care and vaginal health. She lives in Dalton and enjoys traveling with her husband. |
Angela S. Wood, MD

Dr. Wood obtained her undergraduate degree in psychology from Princeton University. After several years working in the mental health field, she returned to medical school at the Medical College of Georgia where she received her medical degree in 2004 and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her Ob/Gyn residency in Asheville, North Carolina where she served as administrative chief resident and in 2008 returned to northwest Georgia to join AOG. She is a junior fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her areas of interest include daVinci robotic surgery, in-office procedures, preventive care, adolescent health, patient education and the menopausal transition. She lives in Dalton with her husband and two sons. |
